Credit Repair Secrets – Where to Find

There are a lot of people who for whatever reason seem to constantly have credit problems that require work to overcome and yet, they are always looking for a quick fix.

These people don’t usually find a quick repair for their credit and as a result they are living in bad credit.

It costs a lot money to live a life with bad credit.  Having bad credit can cause one to pay anywhere from ten percent to fifty percent more than someone who lives with good credit.

If people would look and see what they are doing they would stop and take note of the situation that they are in.  Everybody would like to know some credit repair secrets that would fix things quickly and with little effort.

The problem is that there are no quick fixes, no easy way to make things right.  It takes time and effort to fix credit problems.

There are ways to fix credit problems that don’t take as long as letting time fix the problems.  These aren’t really credit repair secrets but they may be unfamiliar to many people who are dealing with negative items on their credit report.

Some Credit Repair Secrets

One thing that can be done to help repair people’s credit report is to take note of the items that are being negatively reported to the credit agency.  People can begin by challenging these items to the credit agency.

The credit agency will go directly to the creditor to verify the information.

The creditor has thirty days to respond to the questioning.  If after thirty days the creditor has not given verification, the credit agency will remove that negative listing from people’s credit report.

This can be done for every negative posting on the report.  It may help sometimes but a lot of creditors will respond with verification.

Another credit repair secret is to go straight to the creditor and demand verification by paper and not over the computer.

Creditors are required by law to have the paperwork to back up verification.  Many may get angry about this when people demand a copy of the verification but they must comply.

If they don’t have it then they must quit reporting the information to a credit reporting agency.  Another credit repair secret is to have an attorney write all of the letters to the credit agency and the different creditors.

Creditors are less likely to fool with the law when an officer of the court gets involved.

Credit Repair Loans – Regaining Ground

People often find themselves in a bind or problem in which there seems to be no way out.  All avenues for help look desperately hopeless to them, and they begin to lose heart and become discouraged.

This can easily happen when one is dealing with serious financial problems on a regular basis, as it can wear one thin trying to think of ways to get out of a bad credit problem.

Sometimes, a credit repair loan can be helpful and even necessary in order to give a person a brand new start in rebuilding a good credit score.  Though these loans are often costly and hard to maintain at first, with time they can be a blessing in disguise for those who truly want to restore themselves to a good financial standing.

How Credit Repair Loans Can Benefit You

Deciding to apply for a credit repair loan should be a decision that is well thought out and thoroughly planned in advance because of the great amount of pressure there will be on the one who is paying the debt.

This type of loan, whether it is for a mortgage or a car, even for a personal loan of some type, can be extremely restrictive with their terms.  They are considered high risk loans for those whose credit does not allow them to receive standard loans.

On a credit repair loan, there is very little leeway when it comes to making payments.  These payments must be regular and paid in full or the lender may foreclose or sell out of the loan.

The interest rates on this type of loan are extremely high as well, so there are no bargains when it comes to a credit repair loan.

Yet, when a person has determined and purposed themselves to pay off the loan no matter what, then this type of loan can be a great benefit to them.  Over time, the person receiving the loan can actually rebuild their bad credit report in order to maintain a good standing once again.

The important point to remember is that this doesn’t happen overnight, but with patience, it can be done.  A credit repair loan can allow one the freedoms such as owning a home or car and even starting a new business venture.

The risks are higher and the price is greater, yet overall for those who are serious, it is the best route to take in order to restore good credit once again.

After a bankruptcy or other financial collapse, it is quite discouraging for those who have lost all they have, yet with credit repair loans, hope is once again on the horizon for many motivated people.

Credit Repair Letters – How To Write

Credit reports are very important documents that reflect critical historical financial information on individuals.  This information is comprised of credit card accounts, revolving credit accounts, loans, etc.

Generally, through credit reports, financial information has been compiled that reflects whether the individual keeps current on their payments, pays on a timely basis, or whether the individual has ever defaulted on a loan, etc.

Although, for the most part, the information may be accurate there may be some errors that have been reported or that are wrongly reflected on the credit report.

That is why it is important that an individual send for their credit report on a yearly basis.  If there are any discrepancies, the individual may need to write credit repair letters.

When composing credit repair letters it is important to include important information.  What are credit repair letters, providing personal data and including additional documentation are important aspects in maintaining the accuracy of a person’s credit report.

What Are Credit Repair Letters?

Credit repair letters are written documents that are provided to creditors and credit reporting companies.  These credit reporting companies manage the credit information of individuals.

This credit information is provided by lending institutions and other businesses that collect payments from their customers.  This information is confidential and can only be accessed by the individual or by institutions that have been authorized by the individual.

It is highly recommended that private citizens access their credit information on a yearly basis.  The reasons for this recommendation are to review the information that is captured on these reports, review the accuracy of the data and to ensure that no activity has occurred without the individual’s permission.

If erroneous information has been recorded, if there has been unauthorized activity, or if a negative situation has not been resolved, the consumer may wish to generate a credit repair letter.  Credit repair letters are written to identify the situation and request that specific action be taken.

Personal Data

When writing credit repair letters it is important to identify yourself.  That personal information should include your name, current address, social security number, date of birth, phone number and other information that will assure the credit managing company that you are indeed the proper person accessing the account.

Credit repair letters can be sent to either the creditor or the company that is managing your credit information.  If the payment of a bill is in dispute then it seems that a creditor would be the entity to address the letter to.

Or, if there has been some type of identity theft or other issue regarding your credit information, then it would be appropriate to write the credit managing company.

It may prove beneficial to directly contact the credit managing company to inquire about their process.  They may require the letter to be notarized.

Additional Documentation

When writing credit repair letters it is important to include any documentation that may be available to make your case.  For example if you have a cancelled check that proves that a disputed payment was made, attach a copy of that check with your credit repair letter.

This letter can be sent to the creditor.
